In this our 30th year of music-making, the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra continues its tradition of providing an environment of performance excellence, friendship and fun. Our creative and administrative staff have been working hard to reimagine our program that maintains our program traditions, while adhering to all public health guidelines and restrictions. So whether you’re trying out for the Concert Winds, the Symphonic Winds or the Wind Orchestra, we will continue to find unique and meaningful ways to engage all our musicians. Welcome to the TYWO family.

If you’ve never done an audition before, relax!  Virtually all musicians who try out receive membership into our family of ensembles.  The auditions are held to give us a chance to get to know you, to help determine which ensemble suits you best and to help us establish seating arrangements (i.e. 1st flute, 2nd clarinet, etc.).  Plus, we go out of our way to make the experience as positive and stress-free as possible.
