The results are in! The repertoire has been chosen, the folders have been stuffed, the stage is set and the musicians selected. Take a look at the 27th version of the TYWO Symphonic Winds and the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra.

Hear the drummer get wicked! Celebrated musician Larnell Lewis kicks off the Wind Orchestra’s 27th season as featured guest soloist on Sunday, November 5 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. Born in Toronto, this Grammy award-wining musician is a member of the breakout fusion group Snarky Puppy and is also an instructor at Humber College. Larnell has performed all over the world and we are excited to share the stage with this talented musician.

Life of Brian We welcome the extraordinary talents of award-winning composer, conductor, producer and performer Brian Balmages. Known the world over for his imaginative compositions, Mr. Balmages will lead a special concert at the Toronto Centre for the Arts featuring our Concert Winds and Symphonic Winds, as well as a host of elementary and high school ensembles from the GTA.

What happens in Whistler stays in Whistler! In the spring of 2018 the Wind Orchestra will travel to Vancouver, BC. As part of this performance tour, the Wind Orchestra will appear as guests at the Cantando Music Festival in Whistler, BC. This will mark the Wind Orchestra’s first ever appearance in Western Canada.
