Join the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra for the highest quality concerts, featuring young musicians, guests from the area and beyond, and sometimes you’ll see some of the biggest names in wind band music (pictured on this page: The Canadian Brass, the US Army Herald Trumpets; and elsewhere on this site: Howard Cable, Frank Ticheli, Eric Whitacre, and so many more).  Every concert features music played with energy and precision in weekly rehearsals by high level students.

TYWO 2023-24 Concerts

Our season opener features the works of celebrated composer Omar Thomas. Join us for a very special presentation of the music of this celebrated composer and educator, featuring the Canadian premiere of his newest work for winds Caribana, inspired by Toronto’s annual Caribbean festival. You’ll hear all the TYWO ensembles in concert as well as special presentations by Mr. Thomas as he describes his unique compositions which has been performed in concert halls the world over.

This concert will take place on Friday, December 1 at 7:30 pm at the Meridian Arts Centre, 5040 Yonge Street in North York. Tickets are $30 for Adults and $15 for Students.
